Awakening The Spirit:

A Plant Medicine Retreat

Journey to the sacred lands of Bahia, where Ayahuasca, Kambo, Rapé and Cacao awaken your spirit and Yemanjá's waters carry the rest away. 🌿✨🌊

January 28 - February 4, 2027

Imagine yourself… standing on the shores of Bahia. The place that they call “Little Africa”. The warm ocean breeze kisses your skin. The waves lick at our heels, lulling you back into your natural rhythm. The sounds of drum beat dance in the air the delectable smells and spices of the open market. You look around you and a group of loving and supportive explorers like yourself smile back in anticipation.

You sit in a sacred circle, the scent of tobacco and herbs from the sacred pipe filling the air. The shaman gently blows Rapeh (the finely ground tobacco mix snuff) into your nostrils, and instantly, your mind clears. Your thoughts, once scattered, become still. Rapeh grounds you, aligning your energy and opening a gateway to deep meditation, clarity, and spiritual connection. It is the breath of the forest, bringing you back into your body, into presence, into truth.

You have arrived. You are ready to surrender, to heal, to come home to yourself.

Here, the wisdom of the waters and the spirit of Yemanjá (The Goddess of the Oceans) call you into a deep, transformative journey, where you are held and guided by two women who have been walking this path for over 15 years.

Who This Retreat Is For:

This is for the explorers, the seekers, the wanderers who are ready to meet themselves fully. Maybe you’ve read the books. Done the therapy. Have dived into the journaling. Lost yourself in the breath work. Love your yoga and mindset work.

And you know, that somewhere in your body, there is something a bit deeper waiting.

You are not new to your own healing and exploration of your inner life.

You are ready for something the normalized Western frameworks have not been able to touch.

You are ready to be met by the medicines and plant spirits of the earth.

You are ready to sit in a circle of women who look like you, with elders who understand the weight you have been carrying, and the freedom that is yours to claim.

You long to travel. You are brimming with curiosity. You are not afraid of depth. You may be 28 or 68. What matters is that something inside you is calling, and you can no longer ignore it.

If that is you, keep reading.🌿✨🌊

Who Is Holding This Space:

This retreat is held by two sisters who have been running ceremonies together for over ten years.

Prandhara Prem (Renée Adolphe)

Shamanic Tantric Holistic Therapist. Relationship and Sexuality Coach. Ordained Interfaith Minister. Rebirther.

I began my journey as a healer more than 23 years ago as a Psychotherapist, holding a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology and a Post-graduate degree in Transpersonal Therapy from Brazil. I am a certified Shamanic Medicine Woman, a certified Tantric Therapist and a Reiki Master in four lineages. I have a Doctor's in Divinity and am an Interfaith Minister as well as a Certified Rebirther.

My own path to this work came through my own healing. Through the guilt and shame I carried as a young Christian woman around sex, pleasure, and being in my body. Tantra is what brought me home to myself. It is what taught me that pleasure is a sacrament. Breathwork and Cacao helped me feel even more alive in my body. I lived in Brazil for 13 years and am currently back in the USA. I have made it my mission to help other women find their way home too.

My work has been featured on Fox News, CNN, and Lifetime's Married at First Sight as the Tantric Couples Therapist, and I have been a guest on radio and podcasts across the US and Brazil.

The name Prandhara Prem was given to me at my tantra initiation at Centro Metamorfose in Brazil. It means one who goes with the flow of love and life.

"I had a complicated relationship with sex, especially throughout my adolescence. Problems with surrendering to pleasure and some unconscious feelings that I didn't deserve this pleasure... I met Prandhara through a friend and soon enough she showed me things I was already yearning to see. I mean, to really see them. The fact that my heart was somehow closed and that that kept me from experiencing pleasure at high levels, pleasures that bring a sense of being connected..."

Diane Ghogomu

I am a somatic sexuality educator, cacao facilitator, and initiate of the Bwiti (Iboga) tradition. I have organized and held space in ceremony for thousands of people across the world over the last fifteen years. I am a pleasure scholar and anthropologist, a musician and music healer.

Most importantly, I am a forever student.

I continue to study in Cameroon in the forest and with Kenyan healers in the lineage of Ngoma za Pepo, the Duruma tradition of music healing rooted in the relationship between sound, spirit, and the body.

I bring cacao, ceremony, and the embodied work of returning women to pleasure and joy as a spiritual and ancestral technology. My work has centred around supporting Black women into remembering that their bodies are the portal into knowing the divinity.

The Indigenous Facilitators

The deeper medicines, Ayahuasca, Kambo, and Rapé,(pronounced rapeh) are held by indigenous Brazilian facilitators who have been working with these plants their entire lives, in lineages passed down from their elders. We have worked with them for years and respect their very particular and powerful transmission.

This is the way we believe ceremony should be held.

There are a lot of people who are giving ceremonies these days with very little experience, training or knowledge.

We are staunch believers that we can only take you as far (or as deep) as we have gone.

And we go deep. (haha)

The Medicines:

Rapé. The Breath of the Forest.

You sit in a sacred circle. The scent of tobacco and herbs from the sacred pipe fills the air. The shaman gently blows Rapé, finely ground tobacco mixed with sacred plant ashes, into your nostrils. Your mind clears. Your thoughts become still. Rapé grounds you, aligns your energy, and opens a gateway to deep meditation and spiritual connection. It is the breath of the forest, bringing you back into your body, into presence, into truth.

Ayahuasca. The Grandmother Vine.

As night falls, you sit before a cup of dark, mysterious liquid. You make a prayer and then you drink. The warmth of the liquid travels down, spreading through your body like an inner embrace. The journey begins slowly. Then suddenly, the visions come. You are immersed in memories, emotions, and messages from the unseen realms.

The Granmother Spirit of the vine invites you to travel deep. She shows you what needs healing. She guides you toward your own special truth. You might cry or laugh. Or you might purge and release burdens you didn't even realize you were carrying.

You emerge reborn, seeing the world through new eyes, with a heart more vibrating in it’s openness at the beauty of life.

Kambo. The Frog Medicine.

After Ayahuasca, you prepare to meet the fire. A gentle burn on your skin allows the secretion of the Amazonian frog to enter your bloodstream. Your heart races. Your body heats. The purge begins. You release toxins, stagnant emotions, fears buried deep within. As the storm passes, a wave of clarity and strength rushes over you. Kambo cleanses you physically and energetically, leaving you lighter, stronger, more resilient.

Cacao. The Heart Opener.

We gather in ceremony to drink cacao. Cacao is gentle, like a warm embrace from the Earth herself. As the rich, sacred elixir melts on your tongue, your heart expands. A deep, radiant love fills you from within. Music plays. Your body moves freely.

Cacao is the lubricator of intentions. An ancient plant medicine that brings openness to the heart, joy to the body, and clarity to the mind.

Cacao allows you to integrate in softness through the heart. It is euphoric and uplifting and invites you back into the joy of being exactly who you are.

About the Cacao We Drink

The cacao we serve comes from the first all-indigenous cacao cooperative in Peru.

An Asháninka community in the Peruvian Amazon, governed entirely by their own people, with a women-led engineering team managing every stage from tree to harvest.

After decades in which their land was taken, their culture suppressed, and a genocide was waged upon them - it was working with cacao that allowed them to rebuild.

Diane's regenerative business, Cacao Love, has been the exclusive carrier of this all indigenous cacao cooperative for ten years. A percentage of every bag sold funds reforestation in the Amazon and the preservation of Asháninka cultural knowledge.

When you sit in our cacao ceremony, you are drinking a plant medicine that has travelled from the hands of indigenous women in Peru, through ten years of relationship, into the cup in front of you. This is the foundation of how we believe ceremony should be sourced. Directly, ethically, and in right-relationship.

Yemanjá and the Orixá

Then, the ocean calls.

You walk to the shore, feeling the pull of Yemanjá. The goddess of the sea. The mother of all waters. The orixá (Yoruba spirits) who has been waiting for the daughters of the diaspora to return to her. With gratitude in your heart and the wisdom of the medicines coursing through you, you step into the water. You let her waves cleanse you one final time.

You have shed the old. You have awakened something ancient within. You are free. You are whole. You are home.

Preparing the Body, Awakening the Spirit: The Sacred Dieta & Bahia’s Nourishing Feast

Before stepping into the sacred realm of plant medicine, we honor the ancient tradition of the dieta. A period of purification that prepares your body, mind and spirit to receive the deepest healing the medicines have to offer.

For ten days before arriving in Brazil, we simplify the diet. We remove processed foods, fermented foods and drinks, salt, sugar, alcohol, caffeine, dairy and heavy meats. We nourish ourselves with light, natural foods. Fruits, vegetables, whole grains, simple plant-based meals.

This cleansing heightens sensitivity, deepens intuition, and clears stagnant energy. It creates an open channel for the spirits of the plants to work.

As we walk this path of purification, we also quiet the mind. We invite silence, reflection, meditation, presence. We release distractions, toxic emotions, anything that no longer serves. This is a time of surrender. A time to listen. To ourselves, to the medicine, to the whispers of nature.

After our journey with Ayahuasca, Kambo, Rapé and Cacao, we return to the pleasures of the earth with renewed gratitude. The soul-nourishing flavours of Bahia. The rich embrace of moqueca. The warmth of freshly made farofa. The sweetness of tropical fruits bursting with life. Every bite a prayer. Every bite a reminder that we are meant to experience, enjoy, and embody the beauty of this world.

This is more than a cleanse; it is an initiation. A journey of clearing, receiving, and returning—stronger, lighter, and deeply connected to yourself, your roots and the world around you. 🌿✨🌊

"I love Renée as a person and group leader. I felt safe with her. She was the mother and big sister that we all needed. She's also fun, smart, knowledgeable, and open. I felt like I could come to her with any subject. I loved every workshop. The workshops really gave us a chance to open up as a group. Also were stress relieving, relaxing, and a great way to bond."
